ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS BOOTCAMP
In only 1 evening, you will learn the basis of Salsa and/or Bachata and be able to dance a full song comfortably. You can join us then for Level 2 of classes after it.

At Tropical Soul we follow the NSW Holiday calendar, so if there is a holiday, the studio will be closed, and the beginners course will be only 5 weeks (instead of 6).
*5 week courses – $115 for the entire course

FAQs
I have never danced before, can I still join?
Oh yes! All of our students started with no experience at all. Once you join Tropical Soul, you will learn your first steps and make new friends as well
What styles should I take for partner dancing?
For partner dancing, the most popular styles are SALSA & BACHATA. You can join one of our 6 weeks Beginner Courses.
Do I need a dance partner to join the Salsa or Bachata classes?
No you don’t. You will be dancing with everyone, as Latin dancing is a very social dance. We do ask to register in advanced so we can mantain an equal ratio
I prefer to dance solo, what should I take?
If you prefer to dance solo, then we recommend our Mixed Latin styles, the most popular is Reggaeton, then Twerk and Brazilian Funk. You can join at any time!
what should i wear?
For our Partnered Styles, like Salsa & Bachata, casual clothing is fine.
For our Mixed Latin Styles, gym clothing as you will be sweating.
Bring a towel and a water bottle. We do have a bubbler and a vending machine at the back of the studio.
What do you recommend for my first class?
Get your 1 Week Trial online, or come to reception. Arrive to your class at least 15 mins early so you can get familiar with the premisses.
Our receptionist will take a photo of you for your student profile. Make sure to smile ????

I love the vibe here! It’s like a family. I keep coming back, it’s my happy place. I met Sera years ago doing her choreo in Brazilian Funk. Delighted to meet her again in Tropical Soul doing her Reggaeton performance class. Great energy, she’s a vibrant teacher! She knows how to bring out the best in teams when it comes to choreography. Liz is a very professional teacher — I have so much fun with her classes in hip hop and heels. If you’re a beginner, you’ve come to the right place, this is a safe space with supportive teachers and students. If you’re advanced, you’ll be challenged and nurtured to be better. The place is well-maintained, clean, bright, and spacious. If you want a dose of positive energy, this is the place to be!
Sera was fantastic!! She taught a private salsa lesson for me and my friends, and we cannot stop taking about it or dancing. Sera made sure we had soo much fun and was great to communicate with to organise it. We couldn’t recommend Tropical Soul Dance Studio and Sera enough!
Tropical Soul is a nice studio from my first time trying. The teacher is really friendly, welcoming , helpful and professional, which makes me feel comfortable. I really enjoy Tropical Soul so far😊.
We used Tropical Soul as our wedding dance choreographer. We selected the 10 lessons package and had Eugenie as our instructor. Throughout the entire process Eugenie was so easy to work with and came up with a dance routine (bachata) that suited our level and adjusted based on our preferences. She was really fun, encouraging, gave clear and helpful directions and when it came time for the big day we felt comfortable and prepared. Our first dance went off without a hitch, and it's thanks to Eugenie and her amazing work. Thank you so much Eugenie!
